I got the hookup!
Not too long ago, my company started limiting our internet access. You see when you are a contractor for the government, there are a lot of things that you are not allowed to do that other companies get away with. One of those is internet surfing and video/music streaming. Now I wasn't bummed out too much except that I no longer had access to my music. I could bring in all of my CDs and burn them to my hard drive but 1.) I didn't want to slow down my computer with all the data, 2.) It would be a lot of burning, and 3.) I had already taken a lot of time to set my preferences with Pandora.
So today I had a computer hiccup that required IT to come take a look. I had some music playing from a CD that I had downloaded to the media player. IT guy said that he wanted to reboot my computer.
Me: OK
IT: Are you streaming this music?
Me: Nope, it's the media player.
IT: OK
Me: Besides, you guys told us we couldn't stream anymore. (kinda whinny)
IT: That's because all of you were using up our bandwidth
Me: It's cool.
IT: Of course you can still stream some music. I'm not advertising that around, but you can if you want to.
So now, I have a smile, I'm streaming my music (listening to Rascal Flatts right now) and all is right with the world.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
